Tom Bennett Park DGC
Bradenton, Florida
An 18-hole, free disc golf course in Tom Bennett Park, a 200-acre Manatee County park just off I-75 and SR 64 in east Bradenton. It's mostly flat and wide open: the front nine plays long holes across open fields between small stands of trees, and the back nine mixes in more woods, palms and water, with ponds and canals in play on several holes. Every hole has concrete tees and a tee sign, and most holes have a short and a long pad. This listing is the short-pad layout, about 6,000 ft at par 59, with holes from roughly 145 to 755 ft, to Dynamic Discs Veteran baskets. Hole 1 starts next to the parking lot off Kay Road. Roads, paths, playgrounds, pavilions and water are out of bounds, and hole 13 has two mandatories with drop zones. There's a four-basket practice area near holes 13 and 14. The grass holds standing water after heavy rain and there's very little shade, so bring sunscreen. Restrooms and drinking water are in the park, and dogs are allowed. Open sunrise to sunset. Est. 2021.
