Ghost Town

Ghost Town is a compact 9-hole disc golf course in Waterloo, Iowa, with short and long concrete tees that can be played as an 18-hole layout. The course is mostly open with mature trees used to shape lines and force some shot selection, but it remains very approachable for newer players. The short tees make for a quick, beginner-friendly round with plenty of birdie opportunities, while the longs add distance and make the course more interesting for experienced players. Most holes reward a clean, controlled drive rather than requiring highly technical woods golf. Wind can also play a major role on the more exposed holes. Ghost Town is a good local option when you want to get a round in without committing a couple of hours. It’s easy to navigate, difficult to lose a disc, and well suited for casual rounds, introducing someone to the game, or getting in some throwing practice. Experienced players will find plenty of scoring opportunities, but the longer holes and scattered trees can still punish an errant drive.
