Course has been completely redesigned in 2025. Baskets have been moved and there are two tee pads for each of the nine baskets, providing 18 holes. Front 9 (blue) is very beginner friendly averaging 230 feet. Back 9 (red) has two par 4 holes and averages 330 feet. Our original goal was to just improve the 9 hole course by making it playable even if soccer was going on. We also wanted to make it easier for kids and beginners as we saw many kids putting discs in the water due to hitting tree branches or losing discs in the tall weeds. As we finished the 9 hole layout, we began looking at the possibility of adding 9 additional holes. We knew we’d have a number of problems but just having the option to have some longer, more difficult holes available seemed worth the effort. We fully realize the “flow” of the back 9 is not ideal and requires a lot of walking between holes. This is due to a number of factors: 1. We share the park with soccer. There are fields that they use for practices and games. We prioritized having a front 9 that flowed well, was easy for beginners and could be played even if soccer was going on. This drastically affected the back 9 layout. 2. We wanted to keep the original 9 tee pads. This limited our options for hole layouts but they were too nice to abandon and it kept the cost down. 3. The total park area is too small for having 18 baskets and 18 holes that would not be too crowded. In order to have a back 9 using the same baskets while giving a different look to each hole, it required us to put the tees in some locations that were not ideal. The creek, playground and busy soccer fields limited our options a great deal. 4. We also felt it was beneficial to play the back 9 baskets in the same order that they were played for the front 9. Sometimes this hurt the flow of the back 9, but that took priority. 5. The playground hinders flow more than we anticipated. If it weren’t there we could throw in the opposite direction towards it which would have aided the flow, especially getting back to 9 (and 18). If soccer is not going on, we strongly recommend playing the alternating blue-red 18 hole layout. 1, 11, 3, 13, etc. as it spreads out the longer walks.
